From now on it should be possible to update DotNETForDevices with a weekly column again. There are really no more excuses, since the conference season with MEDC, MEDC Europe, TechEd and a few more conferences is history again. From now on I have to start preparing for the fall conference season, since I am giving 3 presentations during Mobile Connections in Las Vegas, including a whole day post conference session. I want to thank everybody who attended one or more of my sessions during MEDC or MEDC Europe. It was great to have the chance to meet a lot of attendees. Hopefully you got a lot out of these conferences. It was also great to be at TechEd and WinHEC, meeting a lot of “old friends”, and seeing that Windows Mobile gets more and more attention during TechEd as well. Really, it looks like we have our own MEDC conference, but still a lot of coverage during both WinHEC and TechEd too. Right now I will start preparing for TechEd New Orleans. Hopefully that will be the first one I will be scheduled to deliver a presentation on either Windows CE, Windows Mobile, the .NET Compact Framework or the .NET Micro Framework, because those are all areas in which I will dig in deeper in the upcoming year. I am already preparing with typical TechEdU responses to questions. Whenever a presenter replies to you with the following sentence: “That is a great question”: He or she either does think it is a great question and something that should have been covered during the talk but was left out for whatever reason. The other reason to reply with that sentence seems to be the following: I don’t have a clue what you are talking about, let me just save some time by replying anyway and exchange business cards so I can follow up with the question. I will try this during the fall conferences (look what a great line up of speakers we have there). Probably I will reply lots of questions with that same sentence: “That is a great question!”. Maybe that gets me selected for a presentation during next year’s TechEd in New Orleans. Maarten Struys |
