This is a lame excuse, of course, but really, lots of things have been going on since my last column in April. I have been commuting back and forth between the US and Europe since our last meeting. We hosted quite a few webcasts, and I spoke at too many conferences. Right now it feels good to be back, even though it will be only for two weeks. This is not even going to be a real column with my own critical opinion. I just want to give you an early announcement about a new initiative that we are trying to start around the September time frame on DotNetForDevices.com. If you are as excited as I am about Windows Mobile development, or if you are entirely new in developing applications for Windows Mobile Devices, you might want to check out my blog, since I am about to start creating a large number of videos in the September / October time frame around Windows Mobile Development. Right now, this project still sounds ambitious, but it like to try and publish one video a day from September 1st until October 30th, meaning you will have 61 videos to watch that are all around Windows Mobile Development. We will start with a very simple hello world application, also explaining what development tools you need. From “Hello World” we move on to more advanced topics. I will try to limit each and every video to 10 minutes max, although you have to forgive me if some topics need some more explanation time. Make sure to check back to DotNETForDevices.com to find some hopefully useful videos explaining you how to develop great applications for Windows Mobile Devices.
